We are ready for the April Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop. This month the challenge was to stamp your own DSP.
I found this to be exciting. I stamped 1/2 of a 12″ x 12″ white card stock with Stampin’ Up! Among the Swallows stamp set, using Old Olive ink. This made for a beautiful stamped DSP.
After I stamped the left side of white card stock with Old Olive ink, 2 times. I searched in my endless supply of older stamp sets for a nature type sentiment. I found a great sentiment that tied in with my theme. I found Beauty of the Season (retired). I stamped it in Old Olive and die cut it using Textured Notes dies. For the back ground paper I used Secret Garden Scrapbook card stock. I then cut a piece of Old Olive ribbon (retired) and set it on the stamped side and knotted it. Afterward I stamped on scrap pieces and fussy cut some flowers and birds to apply to the page. I raised the flowers and birds using dimensionals. I cut Evening Evergreen card stock to create layers under the photos. At which time I added some of the fussy cut birds randomly around the photo place holders.
Then, as a final touch, I added some embellishments that were birds, bees and dragon flies.
I personally feel this is my favorite page thus far.
